Enterprise Ireland Big Ideas 2017
June 2017, Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin
GRCTC Researchers (Leona O’Brien, Marcello Ceci, Massimo Della Revere), plus the Centre Director attended this fantastic event in the wonderful environs of the RHK on a glorious Irish summer’s day.
Among the 10 Promoters pitching on the day, were the GRCTC@UCC’s very own first spin-out, DURRUS Compliance Diagnostics(www.durruscd.com), where our former colleague Tara Casserly gave a great presentation on the ‘Durruscd’ offerings (AML Capability Maturity Modelling and associated diagnostics) and their commercial attraction (in under the (Matt Cooper) allotted 4 minutes!
The winner of the ‘One to Watch’ Award on the day was HookeBio, so congrats and best of luck to Finola Cliffe and all the other brilliant promoters.
Durrus can be reached by contacting Dr Tom O’Kane (firstname.lastname@example.org).
It is highly rewarding to see the culmination of over 4 years of intensive research from Tara, Tom and Peadar McCartney at the GRCTC, together with Industry collaboration, now hopefully making a serious impact in the market place…
The Centre is also now able to highlight that the R&D dedicated to supporting a Conduct Risk Assessment Tool and associated diagnostics, over the past 18 months has reached the point where the GRCTC will shortly be positioning this unique and timely offering for potential use cases with Industry. Please contact the Centre Director, Peter G Cowap (email@example.com) for further information.
Congratulations to EI for sponsoring such an informative and engaging event.
PS. That isn’t Tom Butler masquerading as ‘AI’ on stage with Matt, but Dr Conor McGinn’s amazing health care-aid robot, ‘Stevie.
